Rose Hill: Live at Hinckley
The Rose Hill Singers are a group of young men from the Sac & Fox and Otoe tribes of north central Oklahoma. In the past few years, Rose Hill has been invited to sing at traditional celebrations throughout the U.S. and Canada, and has become well known for their many new intertribal songs and strong singing style. This album, recorded live at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Grand Celebration at Hinckley, Minnesota, in July of '95, presents an outstanding performance for which they were awarded first place in the Southern Plains singing competition.
"The Rose Hill Singers" est un group de jeunes hommes du Sac & Fox et des tribus Otoe du Nord-Central d'Oklahoma. Il y a quelques années, "Rose Hill" fut invité à chanter aux célébrations traditionnelles aux travers des Etats-Unis et du Canada, et furent bien accuellis car déjà bien connus par leurs nouvelles chansons intertribales et leur style de chant fort. Cet album fut enregistré en concert au "Mille Lacs Band" lors de la grande célébration d'Ojibwe à Hinckley, au Minnesota en Juillet 95 et présente une performance marquante pour ceux qui ont gagné la première place dans la compétition de chant des plaines du Sud.
